Care to elaborate? How will it never look right? I got into an accident and had my whole front end replaced, and honestly it looks better then factory. Yeah, if you take it to some chop shop that only wants your money then it will probably never look right. It's all depends on whoever repairs it.

I've just seen people have bad luck with color matching the white pearl is all. Hell, even my raven looks odd because I had to have the hood re-sprayed, so the pearl hits from the wrong angles.

This is so spot on. Hell my factory bumpers dont perfectly match the body of the car. Come to find out the bumpers are painted in a separate location from the rest of the body and then put on the car!!

I had to have my front bumper repainted when a tinter f'd it up. While it does not look bad you can definitely tell when you get up close. (Im ok with it because they only painted the bottom side of the bumper but still its not 100% perfect. I decided to live with the job they did vs trying to get the shop to do it over again).

The driver didn't even get out of his car. I got out, looked at the damage, and he was sticking his head out the window to look at it. I had to tell him to get out. Neither occupant could speak English very well, and after I demanded to see a license, all they produced was a registration paper. I took a photo of the paper, and the rear plate of the car before we drove through the toll and pulled over. The passenger pleaded with me to let them go, and told me his cousin had no license. I said I was sorry, but that's not my problem.
After the officer arrived and I told him about the license, he went back to their car all mad. Lots of finger pointing, and at one point he took their phones. While the officer was in his car writing things up, the passenger got out and started walking to my car. He was quickly told to get back in the car.
Worst part was the officer gave me a web address, no report. Accident was nearly a month ago and I just got a copy from buycrash.com. After paying $5. What a scam.

Damn, that sucks. At least they didn't take off on you though.

Oh, and the "rear skirt" is molded into the rear bumper. You'll need to replace the whole thing.

sorry to hear that. try to search that rear pannel lip kit thing then install it.

I should get long ass rear tow hook so they will hit their bumper instead

Got estimate today. New rear bumper, painted for a bit over $700. I could likely cover it up with carbon film for much less.

CarFax hits

Found out the hard way - with deminished value ($3000) due to 2 Carfax reports to my wife's 4Runner. One parking lot scrap, that was buffed out, she was nervous and called the police (hit one). The next time some lady bumped into her at a stop light, putting a hole into the lady's Tahoo (which was just repaired) with our trailer hitch, no damage what so ever on the 4Runner. They exchanged info, but apparently the lady claimed her repair with insurance (hit 2). Even though we never had repairs performed, we got two Carfax hits and it resulted in deminished value of $3000 (value 13k down to 10k) when I went to trade it in on a new vehicle.

If anything is ever reported, especially if it was the other guys fault - I would claim against them an extra claim of diminished value over and above any repairs, if possible.

IDK my wife wrecked her Lincoln MKX twice (1 front bumer - repainted, 1 rear bumper replaced and painted) and we got $500 more than KBB when we got rid of it.
