If a car caught fire with a kit I made, then I probably wouldn't ship 40 of them out to customers 3 days later.

So he did actually release the original kit knowing it might cause fires. Might have been prudent to delay launch of the kit, if CARS CATCH ON FIRE.
Kit was released to the gb June 26th - OP's car was in one piece on video posted July 17th, and "totalled" July 23rd - Kit was out around a month when the car was reported totaled to the forum, hth.

Read read...
No owner is. They are only responsible for any shoddy work or negligence that may or may not have occurred.

Which you would need to PROVE beyond reasonable doubt before you flap your gums.

You imply a lot, slander a lot, assume a lot, then step back and "oh, I didn't say that".

In a thread, about a car that caught on fire, you by saying this are assigning blame for the fire.

Quit being a slanderous troll.

the rest of what thats the complete kit simple....and works great. my harness is completely plug and play no end user hacking at their own harness. i reuse the oem line just add a quick connect fitting to the end so you dont even need the fuel line removal tool. and i supply the new replacement line to return to the factory hardline. i have had my kits installed on cars since end of last year no leaks or complaints. i didnt just release my kit last month. i make all these harnesses my self while im still working doing other things throughout the day.

When the owner left the car at the shop to be modified and NEVER touched it again before it went up in flames, Owner is NOT responsible, Shop that was modifying the car and had it in its hands is the one responsible.

Get your facts straight son.

To say you HAD to use that clamp is certainly a stretch. I agree it shouldn't have been included with the kit at all, but a person with fuel injection system experience should have picked up on that mistake immediately, and never used that clamp.

This goes back to why professional installation is suggested on many parts. A good technician would have remedied that short coming well before an issue would have arose. Whatever mechanic installed that kit is responsible for this, if they used that worm gear clamp on a fuel line, regardless if it was included or not. If you use that clamp on a fuel system, you are not qualified as a mechanic.

Yea, my mistake on that one. A worm clamp is what was provided with the kit, anyone would be free to spend more money to get the correct clamping part on top of the $1300+ they already spent for the "Plug and Play" kit...

I really appreciate the effort you guys put in on making the DIY available for the community, and I realize that was sponsored by Visconti. I'm just disappointed that we're a month and change after release and there is still no official install guide, especially when installation error is being immediately blamed for these failures. I'm used to formal installation instructions being completed BEFORE products go on sale. I respect that he's finishing it up as we speak, I'd just think after these issues were discovered this would be top priority.

In a thread, about a car that caught on fire, you by saying this are assigning blame for the fire.

Quit being a slanderous troll.

So, customer brings car into a shop so they can install a kit system that requires shop to modify cars high pressure fuel lines. Correct? We know that 20% or more of the people who bought these kits had leaking fuel lines. Correct? Now, car catches fire and burns to the ground when kit vendor/tuner is test driving it after modifying fuel lines. Correct?

I know this is not a court of law, but I think the circumstantial evidence speaks for itself as to what caused the fire and who is responsible for it.

•Ultimately, you, the owner, is responsible for your car.

Just simple, "well known" facts.
Not facts, sorry.:happy0180:
