Hi everyone,

I have a question about a staggered setup that I am interested in.

Rims:
Enkei Tuning Raijin
18x8 +45mm / 235/35-18(Front) (also have the option of going 18x8.5)
18x9.5 +45mm / 255/35-18(rear)

I will be staying with stock suspension so I will be at stock ride height.

How will this setup look on my car?
will I experience any rubbing from the tires and the suspension?
will the tires have a lot of poke from the fenders? im trying to keep it looking flush.
Will this setup negativily effect my cars performance?

Sorry for all the questions. First time buying new tires and im trying to make sure im staying safe.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Figment is good. No rub at stock height or lowered.
Wheel and tire combo is (most likely) heavier than OEM setup.

for 18x8 the weight is 20.6lb (18x8.5 -20.8lb)
18x9.5 is 20.5lb (not sure how the rears r lighter...lol)

If i went with 18x8.5 fronts, am i still free from rubbing? also if i switch the rubbers to 225 for the fronts?

im not too sure what the specs r on the OEM setup, ill do a search right now tho

You can fit a 245 on the front, 255 without issue on the rear, even 265.

We discussed this exact setup on the previous page. See itdansharpe's sig.

Should be fine depending on the width of tire you choose.

Should be fine. Pick 235/30/19 or 225/35/19 or 225/30/19.

They should be pretty close to flush in the front at stock height.

Hey guys I'm looking into the following setup:
17x9 +45 enkei kojins on stock suspension
245/40/17 tires

I've done a lot of reading and it sounds like I may need a spacer to make this work on stock suspension in the front. I was looking into adding a 10mm hubcentric H&r spacer to the front wheels to add clearance from the strut. I am not concerned with flushness or poke, as long as it has enough clearance to fully lock the wheel with no rubbing.

I will eventually drop it ~1" or so but not right now. Likely just springs, not coilovers. I'll worry about correcting the camber later. Any input would be great. Thanks!

Sounds like you've done your research. I don't think the 9" +45 will fit up front on stock suspension.

Yeah, I've seen some success with +35 in the same size which is why I thought maybe a spacer would work, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

My only concern with adding a 10mm spacer would be that you lose 10mm of thread on your lugs. Should be fine, but I'm not the one to ask regarding this.

^^ This...

Also, would suggest if you run spacers to run them in the rear also.
The rears are already more tucked in than the front, so it may look odd if your fronts are flush (with spacers) but the rears are tucked in.

From all I've read (and will soon find out) is that with stock struts and a 9" wide rim, you need 42mm offset for "safe" clearance. If you go with anything more than a 3mm spacer, you'll need longer studs too.

Just got a set of 18x8.5 +35 square set up. I'm not sure if I want to go 225 or 235, so I will likely try both: 225/40/18 F and 235/40/18 R - I can always just buy two new tires. I also will likely have a set of Eibach Sportline springs (-1.4") in the mail this week, going to coils before Winter. I also will want to bring camber as close back to spec as possible.

Any issues?

Also, I want to bring the rear wheels out close to flush - maybe 10-15mm? For that adjustment, I saw that adapters (as opposed to spacers/bolts) would be a better option? Haven't really found too much on people running with adapters. Input?
