It's favoured by a lot of pro detailers, worth a shot - but your wheels see some pretty grueling conditions so it might not be enough. (maybe time to get a pair of track wheels that you don't care about aesthetics)

X3 for Sonax. Thats why I asked what you were using.

Spray it on a cool dry wheel (in the shade) and let it dwell for 5 minutes or so. It'll turn from green to red. Then you can scrub it or just rinse off. I love the stuff.

All of the above.

Used some this weekend. Easily got 2 months of Ferodo DS2500 and AP S100 off my wheels. Only a few stubborn/hard to reach spots and some road tar left and that was with MINIMAL effort - almost NO elbow grease. I can totally vouch that this product is awesome and I HATE cleaning.

Thanks, I just ordered some Sonax and will give it a try. This stuff is caked on there, I've never seen anything like it.

I've had good luck with Iron-X. Cleaned 20+ year old baked on brake dust, with no damage to paint.

Hopefully it works! I think I might have put a few surface scratches on my wheels by using a harder wire brush. I think the compound those pads are made from are just not earth like

A detailer told me Iron-X is more concentrated; they appear to function almost identically though, right down to color changing.

Your build really has progressed along nicely..love it man!! How are you liking the Innovate SC? I think this kit has tons of potential but its going to take a little time to reach it. Hopefully the intercooler is available soon...I see that Cusco has announced theirs with pricing and pictures, and their supercharger is nearly identical if not 100%, so I'd imagine it shouldn't be long...fingers crossed.

Do you notice a major difference in performance when ambient temps drop drastically? I know in South Florida my NA car is a pig in the heat but the few cold evenings we get per year the car runs like a beast. I'd imagine similar results with the Innovate on a cool night with no intercooler...

Thanks, the innovate kit is nice, lots of good mid range. I'm still waiting to iron out my tune, having a couple issues with hesitation at low rpms/light throttle but that should get sorted out soon. As far as heat management, the intercooler should be available here pretty soon. So I'm going to wait and see how effective it is. I may run water/meth injection instead. I'm still waiting to see more on both. I will probably upgrade to the 70mm pulley (~+2psi) at that point too. The IAT is measured at the MAF and that is pre-blower so until Nameless or someone releases their upgraded MAP sensor plate (with IAT sensor) I won't know for sure.

Are your dyno numbers with WMI? I am hoping for similar numbers but for now my only mod would be the innovate SC. From your experience what should I expect from the SC alone?
