I'm just using Blox aluminum/open ended lugs. They are about $70-80 for a set. Mine look like crap now but they are light and I don't see metal shavings during tire changes with this combo. I am using anti-seize also.
I have had mixed luck with ARP extended studs (2+ years using them), after about 6mo worth of use they would cross thread and cause the lug nut to sieze.

I never could determine if it was from the heat, or from the lug nuts themselves. Perhaps some sort of expansion issue between the hardened stud and the softer lug nut. Stock subaru lugs i've gotten 4 years before one stripped/siezed.

One thing i noticed - not using an impact to remove the nut from the stud greatly improved the life of the stud. Keep this in mind, they seem to be a lot less tolerant to a heavy hand (impact).

Set up your car properly, not mickey mouse.
There are more reasons than a "mickey mouse" setup to run a spacer, and there is nothing wrong with running one if it is utilized properly.

We ran, and the car owner still runs, a 1" spacer on the rear of the Soltice, this allows the car to use the exact same wheel and tire combo front and rear so we can rotate the tires without having to dismount and remount at events. Saved a lot of unnecessary tire wear.

Thanks for the heads up! I never use an impact on my lugs period so hopefully they last longer than 6 months!!!!! I'm using aluminum lugs which should be softer than the studs as well as antiseize on the threads.

Ha yeah, i wish you the best of luck

It didn't bother me too much that they died at 6 months, since thats about how long subaru wheel bearings/hubs usually last with track abuse

I bought ARP studs and have 5mm spacers but I haven't gotten around to an alignment that will need them yet. After changing tires for 6 events I've had no issue with my stock studs, though.

Yea, avoiding the impact gun I think is key. I was only using my DeWalt drill w/socket on my stock studs so I doubt that was the issue with killing them. I think I'm going to avoid the situation altogether with the new studs and get a nice 4 post lug wrench to make spinning them off a breeze. No power needed that way.
