Well let me clarify. I assumed when buying them they are 2.5" OD and 2.36" ID as has been posted in this thread. Invidia quotes 2.36" diameter which I think is ID. FT86-Speedfactory quotes 2.5" diameter which I assume is OD. I think the frontpipe, midpipe and entire catback (muffled axleback portion) is all same ID/OD piping.

The Invidia site and FT86-Speedfactory sites are my sources plus my visual inspection prior to installation.

I'll be taking my J2 quad off within a week or two and will post weights when that happens, if someone doesn't beat me to the punch anyways.

Thank you, sir. Man, I really expected it to be more around in Borla's neighborhood.

I'd imagine it being due to two things most likely.

One, the gauge of the piping used. I don't have a photo, but I can confirm it's 2.38" internal diametre. which would make a wall thickness of about 1.25-1.5mm. This is about right I'd say. This could be for many reasons, but most likely it's about ease of welding.

Also consider it is an equal length 4-2-1 header. I could do some basic maths, but I'd say the extra weight is probably in that part.

I will provide updated weight for the FA20 equal length main section and catless down-pipe section next weekend hopefully.
