I filled with whatever 91 I found. After chirp, stuck with Shell. Don't think it's a matter of gas, so much as bad parts

If you're running shell 91 and get chirp, and I run shell 91 and no chirp, how is it "totally the fuel"?

Unless Alberta Shell is more chirpy then Shell Ontario?

I had originally got chirps only using Shell 91. I got the fuel pump replaced within the first month of having the car, and did not really have a problem after that while still using Shell 91. I find that I get chirps every now and then when its really hot outside or I have come back from long trips.

How bad was your chirp? I usually gas up at the Shell near McCowan and 16th ave and i get no chirp, but when i gas up at the Shell near 16th and Leslie i start to notice chirp.

It was crazy loud .. I live at McCowan and Steeles and when I got to Barrie Subaru the car was just screaming with the chirps.. After doing some reading I think it may have something to do with the gas because I fill it up with 94 from petro ... Any experience with that ?

The first time I picked up my car, I'm 100% sure it was filled with 94 Petro. The chirping was pretty loud, then I filled with Shell 91, for 5 months now, the noise is still there but substantially less. Most of the time I don't realize it's there anymore, but if I'm trying to tune everything out to hear it (mainly ACDC ), it's still kind of there.

Hmmm ... I may try that actually and just see what happens. I got the car back yesterday, and on the drive back from Barrie, all was great. Drove around Scarborough/Markham for a bit and still nothing so I was happy. Went to the gas station in the night to buy smokes and the chirping came back =/

After about 5 minutes, the chirping stopped ... haven't heard it all day today however so I'm quite indecisive on what to think ..

Nothing but 94 Chevron since day 1. I'm at 3100km's now and still no chirps.
