anyone in Canada got their chirp fixed yet?

Seems like those who got their revised fuel pumps are in US. Wondering if anyone in Canada has gotten their fuel pump replaced? Any difficulties from the dealer?

Dixie Toyota, fixed mine. Zero chirping

i fixed mine by changing from Petrocanada 94 to shell 91 v power.. It was due to the ethanol in the oil..

I've never had the problem. All 91 octane gas and higher has no ethanol in it in Quebec.

I got no chirp with shell, chirp with 94 petro. Took it into the dealer and got the pump replaced, no chirp so far (~750 kms)

is it the new revised pump that people are talking about? are you guys still use the same gas you used before?

Did the same on first tank of shell 91 still but i think its gone,

Minovsky 06-26-2013 08:07 PM

i herd that the fix still causes the chirping for some i guess it depends where you get the 94? which is weird to say..

Coach Hines 06-26-2013 08:29 PM

I still hear chirping and I always use Shell 91.
