I'm getting almost the same setup, so hopefully we'll know on Friday.

I'm going with gunmetal Raijins, 18x8.5 front, 18x9.5 rear, +45 offset front and rear, with Michelin PSS 245 35 18 front and 265 35 18 rear.

I've found a number of other forum members with the same exact sizes, lowered a bit so I'm confident this will all work.

The only issue I've read about is inside clearance when NOT running coilovers. The 45 offset sets the wheels inboard so no issues with fender rub (I gather, from researching for hours and hours on this forum.

Yes, curious to hear about it as well. +45 is a high offset on our cars, especially for 9.5" wheel. If you say others are running that setup, then you should be fine unless they are all running coilovers.

If you can measure the inboard clearance, that would help this thread.

And of course we want to see photos of your new shoes!

I will be also installing ST coilovers. Coilovers are supposed to be in Friday, the rest is supposed to be in Thursday, so hopefully Friday I'll have it all installed.

I'm shooting for 1.5" to 2" lowered, with 1 to 1.5 degree camber (whatever I can get with the stock perches and eccentric bolts) with flush fit and no rub.

It's going to look awesome with meaty tires and lowered a bit.

Of course I'll post pics as soon as the parts are on!

Hi quick one for you.
I have a set of new wheels to go on:
Front 18x8.5 +40
Rear 18x9.5 +38
I will have adjustable coil overs installed before these go on.

My local tyre shop suggested the following sizes:
Front 245/35-18
Rear 285/30-18

I'm having massive issues finding decent rubber in the same brand let alone model that do both sizes. The only one I've found are federal 595rsr and I travel 1000km a week highway so they would wear out way too quickly.

I saw one thread the guy was running 245/35 all round. Is this less than ideal?
What size/s would be a better option? I don't really have much faith in the tyre places around here.

I plan on lowering the car enough to get rid of the wheel arch gap if that makes any difference.

Thanks, Karl.

Go wider in the front, you may find more options in 255.

Spot on. I wouldn't change anything.

255/35 in the front is going to be a little taller. But as stated may provide more options but it is not ideal.

Edit, I thought you were FI with the tire size selection. If NA sizes are too large.

Ok thanks.
Is it bad to have two different tyres front/back?

You can't rotate them and they will tend to understeer more than if you had square, but with so much front grip you probably won't notice anyway lol.

285's though, are you turbo? Those are wide tires you're looking at.

Different sizing or brands?

No issues with sizing as many run staggered, but always stick with the same make & model of tire.

It will actually understeer (inherently) more. Not oversteer. A square setup will oversteer easier than a staggered. Same with increasing rear track width.

However, there are many other factors that can be adjusted.
