Maybe a UEL header to give it that un-even exhaust tone to cut down on the "fart cannon" noise

How much was it get it tune. And which one you use?

you have a few options. unichip, ecutek....check here and ask some local performance shops. my base tune n/a was around 600-650...the headers were that much (borla url)
It will help smooth that thing out.
