I was tossing up between Ultramarine, Firestorm and White.

Chose Firestorm, because my Supra was white and felt like a change. Looked at the Ultramarine and it looked nice, but seemed more like a colour suited for a Lexus sedan. It didn't really fit the FRS/86's character.

Never looked back.

I agree with the taillight comment only if you're going with aftermarket tails (Tom's etc.).

I was between white and red as well, and I want a white one until I see a white one again and it looks rather droll in comparison. I think a candy apple red would have been a better shade, or something with a metallic flake.
bullshit. my orange car was pulled over going 15 over when I was surrounded by grey and white and black cars going the same. I told that to the cop and he said it was because he saw me first. bright colors DO get pulled over more.

The same lady wore a red dress (same type of dress) and the difference was dramatic - nearly five or six times as much attention was paid to her.

Same actress, same type of dress, different colour. They did more experiments with different situations - borrowing $1 from people, asking for help across a street. The difference was dramatic in all cases.

They also did experiments with MMA fighters wearing differently coloured training gear, colour of our food affection taste, etc.

I do not accept the statement that red cars receive no more and no less attention from cops than white cars do. You can argue statistics or equality or whatever, but it is wired into us to notice red and react to it depending on the context. Does this all make sense?
I'm sorry but men looking at women is far different than a red car getting a ticket. If you think women and cars are the same well.... I'm not sure what to say.

All you have to do is google red cars and tickets. Here is one from edmunds:

The "Red Car Bias" Myth #1: A commonly held misperception is that red cars tend to receive more speeding tickets than do cars of other colors because of their flashiness. There's also the supposed optical illusion created by their color that makes the cars appear to be going faster than they really are. These are both fascinating theories, but the fact is, according to Carolyn Gorman, vice president of the Insurance Information Institute and Insurance Trade Association, "there is no data to support the assertion that red cars receive more traffic tickets than cars of any other color." Still, the urban legend has been so widely accepted in American society that it has spawned the driving myth discussed below.

Of course your single anomaly is representative of every car in the world.

Ok the eyes perception notices bright colors oppositional to darker colors if the former is introduced into the pack. The brain is triggered to stray attention to the brighter color unless the individual who is observing dislikes red, orange, yellow, and etcetera. Psychology 101.

its not an anomaly that we, as humans, have bright colors catch our attention easier. I guess if youre broken, it doesn't happen to you.

Are there any more words you would like to put in my mouth? I never said that was the case.

All I claimed was that owning a red car doesn't make you more likely to get a ticket. Here's a Snopes article on it.

don't patronize then get indignant when there's a retort.

i agree that saying just one color gets you pulled over is false. obviously. all I said was not is it owning a red car that gets you noticed, its having a flashy color. and getting noticed by the wrong people i.e. cops, youre more likely to get pulled over.

cops profile. it sucks but it's true. any cop that says they don't is lying.

If we're going by your previous retort, it's still a ridiculous statement as the action that got you ticketed was driving over the speed limit, not driving a brightly colored car. They didn't profile the car, they profiled your driving, and of the million responses the officer could have retorted with, he probably just wanted to hurry up and write your ticket so he could catch the other two.

The bottom line in the whole color debacle is if you don't want ticket, observe the rules of the road, because your're going to get tickets no matter what if you drive like a buffoon.

White.

I'm personally not a fan of the red. Too boring. It's just a basic gloss red. There's no character in it. If it was a darker, deep pearl/metallic red, then I would think otherwise.
