What do you think of the Firestorm Red FR-S

I've narrowed down to 2 colors for the frs. White and Red. I wanted to hear what people think of firestorm red that don't own it. Do you think its boring? Too flashy? Common? Sporty? I showed someone yesterday and they said its a girls color, so I'm getting mixed reactions. I like white cause it makes the rear stand out more while the red gives it a sharper look, so what do you guys think?

Frstorm 07-27-2013 06:07 PM

Whiteout I think is the most common color from what people have said here about seeing other frs's. I have firestorm so to respect your wishes won't comment on firestorm

going severely against the grain here.. but I absolutely hate the color red on cars. every sports car in history comes in red and is so common, it's boring. I almost didn't go w/ the FRS because of the red stitching standard. but hey, i'm a minority in this opinion.

go w/ what YOU think looks sexiest. I went w/ orange even when people said it would look retarded and I haven't regretted it since because it makes ME happy.

not the only reason I don't like red. just one that come to mind.

I LOVE firestorm. I personally have a whiteout. I'm still happy with my choice of color, but there is just something about having a red sports car that will put a smile on anyone's face. You won't go wrong with either color IMHO. Flip a coin

edit: well make anyone but @Celica00 smile ;)

I thought about firestorm until I saw one in person, I just thought something about the color dulled out the lines of the car. I'm sure I'm in the minority with this line of thought, but that's just how I saw it. I chose Ultramarine, I think that color looks amazing.

Cop magnet, also red or orange makes the red highlights on the car (tail lights) blend in too much.

White is much nicer and less overt, white with red tails is a good combo

I would have picked Hot Lava over Firestorm but my son got a Firestorm and it looks good in person. White is MUCH too common on this car.

I should of added a poll

The red is beautiful in my opinion. I really want that color. The only reason I'm not getting it is because I want all the 10 series goodies.

It's very sporty, and it breaks up the monotony of whites, greys, silvers, and blacks you see on the road. When driving down a stretch of freeway in Hawaii, all you see are boring colors. As soon as you see red, I think, "wow!"

However, if you drive like an @$$, then red will just bring unwanted attention to yourself. I drive like an @$$ sometimes, so it's probably best that I can't get this color. :(

I want it really bad. Bad enough I think that if they release a special edition with all the 10 series goodies in a red or yellow, I'm soooo gonna trade in.

color is so subjective, just get the ones that screams at you more! you honestly can't go wrong either way.

Girls color? im sure you can say that about white or a number of other colors as well. i hope ones person's opinion on what makes it a girl color isnt whats directing you to what you want to get.

I hate the firestorm color.

whaap 07-27-2013 07:47 PM

I would have bought the white but I have a big thing against 'pearl' white.

White cars are statistically pulled over and ticketed more than red cars (why? because there is statistically more white cars on the road then red cars). The myth of red cars getting pulled over/ticketed more is an old wive's tale.

I agree with the taillight comment only if you're going with aftermarket tails (Tom's etc.).

I was between white and red as well, and I want a white one until I see a white one again and it looks rather droll in comparison. I think a candy apple red would have been a better shade, or something with a metallic flake.
