I've already introduced myself in this thread, but it turns out I've swapped cars... I'm now driving a 2013 A/T SWP BRZ Limited as of July 7th.

@WretchedMouse - It's not the installer. The kit doesn't fit right. I went through multiple installations with various installers including one of their people on the last install. Lasted a month before it started peeling off again. In front of the drivers door is the trouble spot and all Five AD kits will have this. I've since sold the kit and wheels and only thing I have left is dents and f*cked paint from all the reinstalls.
Well I was trying to be polite about it lol. I have some light scratches from the installs. I got my car back today and they used something else other than 3M tape to keep it on there.

I usually keep this issue to myself and don't say anything except to the local guys. This is only because Five AD really tried to make it right. The product was a total failure for me and I've heard this is pretty common. Other than the Five AD guys being stand up people I don't have anything good to say about their kit. It looks great but if you care about the details it will consistently disappoint.

They may have used urethane which is what they ended up using on mine. Metal is warped from it and it will pull paint off too if they used it on the front and rear bumpers.

Common problem with skirt in front of drivers door:

This happened over... and over... and over... and over...

I gave up and sold all of it.

Yeah that is what happened to my driver's side twice. The rear and front bumper is still the 3M tape so no problems there so far. I plan to change out the body kit next year anyway so I'm not going to be hurt if the tape fails.

I would be upset if I paid good money for a body kit and something like that happened^^

But at least they tried to make it right, I'm sure they are looking into it.

The abridged version: I'd had it in the shop half a dozen times (for various issues), the last time it was there for 9 days consecutively. I asked Subaru for a new one, to which they happily obliged by way of buying back my red one.

Wanted to introduce myself to my fellow NW owners:

I'm Rob and have a 2013 FR-S in Raven. Live in the couv (or Vancouver, WA if you don't know the nickname) and bought my car at Vancouver Toyota in March. Love it so far and can't wait to start upgrading some parts in the next few months.

hi everybody, i'm scott and i'm up in the seattle area. i just got my hot lava frs a couple weeks ago. i mentioned this in a different post but it came out of the factory 6/13 and i took possession 7/13. so far i got the windows tinted, borla catback, borla diffuser, afe pro dry drop in filter...and a cool little "86" decoration to fill the blank spot where the heated seat switch would go. i'll be looking for some wheels and tires next. i only have about 250 miles on the odometer but i'm lovin' this car! every time i drive 'er i can't help but grin ear to ear!

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to drive that new machine around the "North Cascades Loop" ..... to break it in .... and have fun ....

I got mine on the 9th, with 112 miles on it. Now its ~1100... This Friday I am toying with the idea of Starting basically at Seattle, hitting Edmonds to Kingston, up to Port Angeles, go to the look out point up the mountain.

Come back down and head around on hwy 101, then in to Olympia and on back to Seattle.

Or do my own cascasde loop, as I had that in mind also.
