tnx for tips and advices. i really laughed when you said about curbs i avoided them because i thought they actually slow you down a bit and they can throw you out of balance and off the track ...also i really didnt even thought about corner exit on long straights are so important ... tnx again to you and michel |

To answer lynk26's question, after you export the files, you'll get the following folders: PS3 > SAVEDATA > BC#S#####-RPL### (with 5 files)Out of curiosity, I opened the smallest file (PARAM.SFO) with a text editor and it has the course, car, driver, and date in it. I zipped up that folder tree for my 1:45.647 Laguna Seca ghost run and attached it to this post (because I used OSX, there is also a __MACOSX folder in the zip... you can ignore it). Can someone extract the PS3 folder tree and follow the step in the link above and see if my replay successfully imports? The naming convention I used: [car]-[psn_user]-[track]-[date of race yyyymmdd].zipAlso, can you guys that attained fast times at Nurburgring and Tsukuba follow the steps and post yours? |

Hi !
My time for the Nürburgring-Nordschleife: 8:28.201 (dual-shock)(with oil change) But one question: are you all driving with the Analog sticks or with the digital-buttons? Cause I can't play with those sticks and wodering how especially Dragonitti can drive soo fast xD Anyway, lots of respect for the fast guys!

Personally, I'm going to call BS on anyone that ran faster than an 8:20 on the ring. There's no way it can happen with the car 100% stock. I have been doing laps and pushing as hard as I can and I can only muster up about 8:25.5, and I know I'm not the fastest at all, but I do not see 8:18 or anything less than that being possible on a stock setup, and especially on a dual shock. I want to see videos of the laps that are below 8:20 before I even begin to believe them. And it would have to be the data logger laps with the lateral and longitudinal g-forces and the rpm vs speed data on there to prove SH tires and no eninge/trans mods. Even upgrading the flywheel, clutch or driveshaft will be noticed in the graphs. The only thing that would be hard to detect would be an upgraded LSD and the glass and chassis stiffness. And to get times that low, some of those things have to be tampered with. If someone can prove indefinitely that nothing but the completely stock car was used, then I will rest my case and admit I was wrong but until then, as I said, BULLSHIT.

Getting under 8:18 is definitely possible with a stock car. Here is a time I've done with a complete stock car with an oil change. This was done with a wheel, but I know that even ds3 drivers are able to get fast times with practice. ![]() ![]() I'm pretty sure that I'm not the fastest person ever but I think it can be said that practice makes perfect. |

Lol I never said I was god, I was just so dumbfounded how someone could get the car around so damn quickly! Like I said if I was proved wrong I would eat my words. Maybe I just had a rant because I posted that after doing lots of laps and not coming up with any better line or driving style to make me faster and I was just angerfied.
I started thinking after I posted it that I sounded like a, in the words of james may, ****.
