This would be a much larger problem if the 2013 build cars had the same issue, and he has deduced that the majority if not all the cars with the leak were built in 2012, so the factory fixed the issue themselves without issuing a TSB for all the other cars.

So, we don't know anything for sure. We don't, for instance, have a TSB or an official recall regarding the oil leak issue. I think.

Yes basically, nothing is for sure with this car with more than 2 issues, the DI failure and this oil leak issues. No TSB on any of them.

Sorry to revieve an old thread but i wanted tp confirm that my 2013 (05/13")manufactured frs is not leaking oil at that place.

I have a little above 1000km

Ill chip in as this is bumped up.

My Nov 2012 had a leak, my March 2013 has no leaks and I am up to 7000km, including some track time.

Nice to know they fixed the issue on 2013 manufactured frs

I just checked mine (Sept 12) and I have the leak. I want to thank everyone who has been posting in this thread, it has given me the info I need to get my dealer to fix it right the first time.

I just checked mine and I have that black seal already too

I accidentally removed a bit a sealant from the outside while checking.. Hope it wont start leaking now
