The speedo isn't the only factor, check out the limited/type-s wing on the back. Which has been said by Toyobaru, was designed to reduce drag. |

I've never found mechanical cable speedos to be that unrealiable. The real question is whether the speedometer is calibrated to read actual speed with the stock tires, or whether it is *by design* calibrated to read low. They pretty much must do to meet EU regs that allow the speedo to read as much as 10% high, but mandate that it can NEVER read low even with somewhat oversized tires. For this reason, many cars come with speedos that are designed to read ~5% LOW, even while the odometer records miles traveled accurately.

Agreed, the speedo in my FR-S is off by 2-3mph at 80mph, I think it is pretty safe to double that at 146mph.

Oh, and (apparently) it's a "small pos" to boot. (SIGH) LOL. |

Funny yet pointless drivel that couldn't hit the mark even if the mark were the Queen Mary in Long Beach. |

Neither of these cars are really meant to carry anyone but kids or pets in the backseat. Last edited by thill; 07-16-2013 at 12:59 AM. |

I think it's hilarious that a guy who's 5'10 claims he doesn't fit. I'm 6'1, don't have the seat all the way back, and have quite a bit of clearance above my head. Maybe a fist.
The Corolla comment... LOL. I own a Corolla and FRS. I have more room and a more comfortable driving position in the FRS. I'm surprised noone has mentioned concerns about rust with the Hyundai. They still haven't figured out how to make their cars survive a hard winter where the roads are heavily salted. |

I'm about the same height as you are and I agree these cars aren't really designed to be a people carrier. I sat in the backseat of my BRZ without anyone else around and even I had trouble fitting, mostly in the height area. My fat ass fit in the seat just fine but I had absolutely no headroom my head was leaning to the side. |

Our kids are all under the age of 8. The sliding doors are are nice because the kids can just climb in and buckle themselves in and we don't have to worry about the kids opening doors and hitting either my car in the garage, or a car next to them. I tried to push for a crossover, but my wife wanted an Odyssey with all the bells and whistles. There is also a lot of room for road trips..
And hey, I got my BRZ In fact she is out driving it right now....
