Nice lap !
A few tips : - Don't keep it in the higher rpm's so long, just shift.. - No need for 2nd gear in a lot of corners - @ 3:44 , that's a very important corner as it can make or break a good laptime since your topspeed will be much higher all the way uphill. Your topspeed in this section is 175km/u, for me it's 186km/u.. that's a lot. - cornerspeed @ 6:32 is about 10km/u down - @ 7:18 don't brake.. just lift throttle for a split second..makes a huge difference. |

But hard to get that 100% optimal lap.. Doing 8.12s is not that hard for me tough.. My car was 413pp. 408bhp I think.. Actually, my best lap was on a bit lower output.. Makes a difference to break in the engine. So if yours was not, then it should not be that hard for you to improve your time due to power.. |

Laguna Seca
Deslock - 1:45.647 - Logitech G27 (MT w/ paddles) Tsukuba Deslock - 1:07.135 - Logitech G27 (MT w/ paddles) My times with the clutch are about 0.5 sec higher. Was gonna give it a go last weekend, but I cut my left hand pretty badly, so I wasn't able to play until today. Since I don't have time to learn Nurburgring before the deadline, I only raced the two shorter tracks. I could shave another second or two off Laguna Seca with more practice, but Tsukuba has me stumped... I just don't get that track. |

For the record, Ill highly doubt the GT86 will do above 400bhp. ichitaka05 had a fully tuned and probably maxed out car at 393ps. That would be around 387bhp. |

- Do oil change and drive some more miles.. If you have not done it. Some horses makes a difference on Nordschleife. - As pointed out with examples, go for high exit speeds before long straights. This is very important on Nordschleife. Optimizing cornering entry is 2. priority. - Your line and use of track width and curbs are very good. But at times you can be even more aggressive on the curbs. This is GT5, not real life, so your car will be fine. ...Especially at 2.06-2.10 you can even use more than the red and white curbs for better exit speed. - At 1.26 your speed were between 194-199km. My replay showed 214-220 trough same corner, and corner entry at 223. You do not have to brake here. Only lift a little.. Your gear changes looks a lot like mine I think. Maybe I too should shift gear sooner/not hold the gear for that long in some cases. Ill try some day. But I max out most gears pretty good. I am losing some torque, but max output is at 7000 rpm. Bhp is at is highest in the 6500-7500 range when looking at the output curve. Id rather stay in the 7400-7550 range than dropping down in the 5900-6400 range.. Ill try to do my average change just a tad sooner in some cases and see if it makes a difference.. Michel, do you sometimes/often shift before seeing the "rpm-bar" getting red? |

Always, except on the Döttinger Höhe, I keep it in 5th gear all the way up untill Antoniusbrücke..then I shift to 6th gear.
