Can't say anything about the new models, except that I preferred the old exterior. Overall I just like the FRS/BRZ better now.

What did you really expect though? It's a forum for another car.. It's not like someone's going to make a thread and then "oh yeah, the competition is way better than us." People will always feel the need to rationalize their purchase and reaffirm that they made the best decision. In the end, the only thing that should really matter is that you are happy with the choice you made. And if not, you can always switch sides.

That's his schtick, downplaying the car. No matter what the car accomplishes he's always the downer trying to ruin the good mood.

The only thing I can't cope with is the ugliness of the 135. So bland.

It was actually one of my choices along 370 and GC.

its not bullshit just because you either dont understand or refuse to believe. i think between the fact that logic reasoning dont go farther than what some guy says on a youtube video. the fact that you dont see the trees blowing? seriously? thats not really evidence either way especially considering that at 100+ mph, he is going to miles away at the end of the video. wind can change with time and distance despite whatever youtube videos you can find to the contrary. there is also the fact that you are using the spedometer to gauge the speed which is a stupid idea because they are typically calibrated to within a 5% margin (which at 146mph is about a 7mph window).

i personally dont know what the top speed of the car is but thats because each car is going to be built and broken in differently creating different power figures and they get driven in different conditions whether it be air speed, air density, drivetrain loss, altitude change or a host of other things.

i dont care if the car can go 146 mph or not. i only responded because you acted like the claim that it is drag limited to 139 is crazy when even by the premise that you are using as support could support that claim. you sound like a child when you take a condescending tone while using such short sighted supports to back your claims.

most of us already realize that and the smart ones ignore him. unfortunately I sometimes take the bait which turns into a bench racing argument, which I dislike to indulge in because I don't care enough and don't pretend to know what i'm talking about.

There, fixed it for you. Anyway it is bullshit because all you do is try to convince everyone that some car you like is better than the BRZ/86/FRS. You don't know what you're talking about. Enjoy trolling someone else. Fatoni's enthusiasm for getting the #1 Troll crown back has hit astronomical levels.

I generally ignore him and sho220 because they are hardcore trolls that offer nothing to this forum other than opinionated bluster.

what I don't understand is how someone (fatoni) has the time to put in 2700 posts in a forum of a car they don't own and have 99% of his posts be theoretical hypotheticals. ( "oh, but I test drove it once") leave us alone mate.

every forum has their share of trolls though. we are no exception.

LOL, I honestly can't believe people are using a speedometer reading as evidence that the FRZ can go 146 mph. Speedometers are highly inaccurate at that speed. I'm not saying the FRZ can't go 146 (I believe it can) but using a speedometer as proof is just...

Is this conclusion based off of modern digital speedometers, or old cable-driven ones? Given the fundamental differences in the way they work, the cable ones can be very unreliable.

Basically, I am asking you to show your work

I certainly believe newer ones are more accurate, but the only info I believe is GPS verified.

Yep. Mike claimed 146 mph in the CSG BRZ, but I'm curious whether that was based off the speedometer or GPS. Also how many miles does it take to get there

Yeah I'm really curious to know where he did this. Seems like in general the last few mph take forever to get to. At Charlotte Motor Speedway (oval + infield) the highest I could get in my S2000 was 128-130. That was topping out in 5th...if I had a few more rpm to work with (instead of needing to shift to 6th) i prob could have gotten a few more mph...but that's a pretty fast track (1 1/2 mile oval).

The Genesis is a Hyundai...

But yes, Hyundai is a very popular brand in Korea because, drum roll please, an equivalent import car would cost exponentially more money.
