did some more testing while I was at it. We were having issues getting the car to down shift into first.

First goes to about 36 38 mph
2nd goes to about 63 65 mph.
It will not let you downshift into first till 33 mph. These are good to know things.
Glad everything is working . Thanks for the additional info though. Hopefully I'll be able to do to some tests myself once this break in is done

On the 370Z, which does the same thing, you can pull the brake light fuse and that negates the problem.

So what can you launch it at now? I am curious because it may make the difference between only considering manual or possibly considering an auto.

Have you tried a 0-60 run?

No I don't care not a single ounce about 0 to 60 times. I autocross not drag race. I just need to get off the line quicker to the next corner or gate. If anyone bought this car to drag race you should have read the reviews first.

My AT also goes beyond 2k at launch. The problem you are describing comes from the electric brake assist that is supposed to occur during a panic stop situation.

I just hold the brake a little more than halfway and when it breaks around 4k that is my launch.

Overall, I am very pleased with the trans, it is the best OEM automatic I have ever driven. I think it will do just fine for DD, club racing, and autocross.

In autocross you are starting from a stand still correct? I think timer starts when you pass the laser at the line? A faster initial launch will help decrease your total time I would think. 0-60 foot time is what I am curious about.

on your cars in 'manual' mode is there a neutral gear? And yes i'm sure there will be a 'launch control' function added once you can tap into the ECU fairly soon.

these platforms are all the hype and lots of companies/independent people will be messing around.

YES even in manual. It was so annoying to have to pull a frickin fuse to do a standstill burnout

My tires still found a way to end up wired and shredded and destroyed though
Currently have 4 shredded ones on the porch as a table and 3 Nismo rims that got F'd up whilst drifting and other nonsense. NOT cheap wheels. Wholesale was ~$900 a wheel.

Try revving in neutral and then shifting into drive at your desired rpm.
