I think they mentioned it was a basic off te sheld fa20club vortech tune that they first loaded onto the car. From there they tuned it to get more power.

I think it is showing the full potential of the OTS Vortech kit and probably the upper limits too. Cant wait to see some pics and video of the car in action. I wished their was a baseline of this car so we could see exactly how much power over stock it is.

I am Mr. Conservative but if there is this much to be gained from the header, its hard to ignore it. BUT... still unanswered questions here.

at the end of the day the baseline doesnt really matter at this point. why....cause the car was base lines without the header installed with the ots perrin maps and tested. then the header was installed and my tune added which made the same power as my previous maps which we are all pretty certain now what these things make stock in florida vs the rest of the country. all cars baseline between 150-155 AT 155-160 MT on this same dyno. take it as you see but its quite obvious that the header makes a huge difference considering most of the guys anywhere near this level arent using this size pulley or pump gas.....

there is only one common factor to look at Chad. FA20 will put the "Get Right" in whatever decision you make hands down.

I gotcha, and providing the info about what is typical on that specific dyno basically answers that question anyway.

So its safe to say with your tune, Vortech, Perrin headerback and your 4-1 header running 93 is capable of making 135WHP more than stock.

Does this change the way you feel about the Vortech kit seeing these results?

I already know this bro!! No matter which route I take to the finish line I'll be using you to get me there.

I find this testing interesting only because my car was the second header you tuned in person and your response was "well I think we found the solution to the TQ dip." My every day drive has been much improved by the header and tune..the combo made for a totally new animal. The Vortech kit was another solution to the TQ dip but it also had its shortcomings. Now the Vortech + header seems like the only way to go if choosing supercharger over turbo.

Quick question, Tony, and sorry if I missed it in the OP..was this your new UEL you have been testing or is it an EL header?
