I agree. It is funny to me that in a thread where everyone is defending the FRZ by saying "Yeah, it's not as fast on a track but it 'feels' better..." that someone would argue that the GT-R, and so many other cars, are better than the LFA because they are faster around a track...

Agreed. Limiters and gearing aside, if you take two cars with the same power to weight ratio, the heavier car will almost always have a higher top speed.

The GC is another car I considered, but I didn't even waste my time test driving one because it failed one of my criteria by a long shot: curb weight under 3000 lbs.

-stock our cars are drag limited to 139 (according to c&d), not 150

-GC is also the only hyundai I would own, but my family has had several sonatas and they were nice.

-Fiona owns the Genesis, Michael drives a '69 Charger Black w/ White Leather interior.

Right... I guess I should have added "assuming similar cross-sectional areas" to my post as well. I was really just trying to back up fatoni about weight and top speed not really being related.

I stopped reading that thread after the beginning of page 2

When my friends asked me why I picked the Genesis over the BRZ/FRS, I said, how often am I going to be taking turns at 60mph? Cuz that seems to be the only thing those cars excel at.

Major downside about the BRZ is the fact that it's peak power is reached around 6000 rpms, but how often are you really going to be hitting 6k RPMs?

I do these things regularly, I guess I bought the correct car.

147, stock body, zero power adders, no weight reduction (unless you want to count rims and brakes)
