wow... i'm so glad we don't have people like that on this forum.

here we had a guy who just felt nice and would smoke your headlights beautifully and all you had to do was pay for shipping. he'd get it done in a day and send them back.

Ehh... participating in discussion/debating ≠ trolling.

If the Genesis Coupe crowd wants to believe their 3600 lbs cars (that need 350hp to go fast) are superior to a 2700 lbs car that needs only 200hp to do 150 mph then they can go ahead and believe that. With that been said, the Genesis Coupe would probably be the only Hyundai I would ever think about buying because it's the FR layout that I've come to love over the years. Michael Westen from Burn Notice drives a Blue GC, I would have picked Blue too.

That was pretty cool of him.

Give it time, eventually the scumbags find new populations to prey upon, it's inevitable...

I test drove both a 2.0T and a 3.8 (both Rspec) 2013 GC.

They were fast and had decent room in them (head room in the rear seats was a joke, worse then the FR-S).

What killed it for me was:
  • Shifter and clutch - long throws, hard to shift smoothly
  • Seats - slid around too much in them
  • Super cheap @ss faux stitching on dashboard that was really crappy plastic
  • Front end - I tried so hard to like it but just could not.

I think that I could have looked over everything else if they had left the front end alone. I loved the previous version front end and might have bought the car if it still had that one.

On my test drives though I can say that even though the GC was fast it still had that "sedan" feel to it where the FR-S had a sports car feel to it (like a cheap Porsche Cayman, I test drove 4 of those bad boys).

I havent even read the whole thing yet but this GCP dude is already blatantly retarded...
"Tires: $1k
Brakes: $2.5K
Bolt on Power mods: $5K (Intake, header, full exhaust, some kind of tune)
suspension mods: $3K"

Uh bolt on mods = 5K???? WTF???
I can get all of that for easily less than 2K...

Or just buy a turbo and spank the GC all day long...

Until they spend the same amount of money...

The FRS/BRZ is a driver's car, but the GC will spank the FRS/BRZ in virtually every performance metric, including in canyons and around a track.

AutoX is the only area where the FRS/BRZ has a significant advantage.

Subjectively, the FRS/BRZ is still a better car.

I think that more than adequately sums up the difference between the two cars. The GC is larger, heavier, you sit up higher, the gearbox and steering are not as precise, and it does not feel as sporty behind the wheel. The GC is a sporty sedan with two doors. The BRZ felt like a true sports car.

Completely agree with you sir. The GC beats the twins in many performance aspects, there is absolutely no denying that. But for someone to just come up with some ridiculous numbers to prove a point... Really? I know our cars aren't "fast", hell the whole world knows that now. But that isn't the reason I bought it. Again I quote Jeremy, "He who shall be last, shall be sideways and smiling."

And I like to smile

i think the only thing the twins need stock are better tires and it will hang with the GC2.0T around a real track just fine.

Equalize the tires, and the GC will still pull away.

The LFA thing is an OVERPRICES P.O.S. why anyone would spend $375K on a car that gets its ass handed to it in every conceivable metric by the GTR for 200K less is beyond me. Like I said the LFA is for delusional fanboys only.
That's where I stopped reading.

Agreed. The LFA is much more of a chick magnet compared to a GTR... And the exhaust note from the LFA is pure orgasmic perfection.

I would buy the LFA for the sound, I would buy the GT-R if I was chasing lap times on a budget, or so to speak.
