Jeez.. first time I've played GT5 in about 3 months. First lap out of the box 8:23. Not gonna make a screenshot..have to do better then this. And I forgot oil change etc.

Could you please keep updating the current 3 tracks for the next month?

This time it was 10 days to post times on 3 tracks. 3,3 days on average for each track (if you were in on the challenge from day one, many were not)
In the future there will be about 30 days to set a time 1 track.

Due to a deadline at work at the end of the year I have not been able to even break in the engine of the car. (first Christmas holiday ever when I have been working)
There might be others that would like to give the current tracks a shot, or maybe another go. People that were busy with other stuff in the holidays.

I also have a suggestion that would make things easier for you merlin2111. And better for the users if you do not update that often in the future.
What about making every forum member that posts a time, to copy the toplist from the track he has done from the previous player that posted a time on the track. He would then add his time to the list and mark it with bold letters.
When the next user wants to post his time he just finds the list from when the track last got a new update. (either from recent/previous poster, or from 1. page if you just did an update) Marking his latest time with "bold letters" and all the others with normal..
I would guess people would get the idea pretty soon when they see it in practice.

Example, instead of Michel posting his time he would modify the Nordschleife list:

This way, track times would always be updated. Would be very easy for people to do when there is only one track at the time. Should not be hard doing 4 tracks at the same time either.

Doing this would be less work for you merlin2111. Maybe there could even be 1 new track added every 2. week, and the time attack on each track would last for a month? Should keep the thread more active..

What do you, and the guys here think about that suggestion?

RaceR I understand you are busy but do you also understand that this is just for fun? You are making things wayyyy too complicated. Has anyone ever told you that you might be OCD? I know this was a short time period and I have stated previously why in the thread.

I understand your statements about the list but if people just add their time and things get skipped or if they don't post a screenshot and just add their times then their will be no organization and no one will be watching for errors. If you have noticed there have been a few times that were not added due to lacking screenshots ect.

Things are more than adequate with the way they are now. Please stop trying to change or "make things better". Like I said this is just for fun and its a game.

ran a single lap at my friend's house tonight. 8:28.880. i know i can do better once i get home and am back on my own setup, as i started a second lap and was 4.5 seconds up about halfway through, but i'm not sure i'll be putting down anywhere near an 8:12 or better, ha.

EDIT: used a DFGT.

Read your first post again merlin, was not aware of that it was official the competition would end that soon and that these three tracks were a such a short term thing. Anyway, I apologize for disturbing and coming with suggestions.

Managed too improve my time half a second on Nordschleife. 8.12.283
So, I guess im pretty close to my limit then..
Found out that it is possible to do very fast laps even on the first lap... See picture. Thought the cold tires were noticeably less grippy in the start but was able to do the first twisty sector just as fast as on warm tires... So the difference is probably minor...
