Fill in the blanks:

- diameter
- width
- type of tire used (specific brand/model)
- is car lowered? how much?
- how much camber?
- what kind of wheel?
etc

Open-ended question = open-ended response. And the other link only semi-helps by assuming you're doing mild spring/shock setup, and/or not slamming the car.

you need to really answer all of the above questions.

naturally, the more agressive the offset, the more agressive your drop and alignment have to be.

More importantly, what is your goal for the car?

You need to figure this out first.

I have 18x9 +35 with a -2.2 camber, and it is perfect. More camber means more "sink in" by the fender. If you are going without camber, you can get away with less aggressive offsets.

If you are going FI, or more power, you can go for 9.5 in the rears for wider tires, but if you are going just for looks, go 9 with a good spacer.
