What offset is legal? What offset provides most benefit?

Ok, so I am just getting started in Auto-X, and I want to keep my car STX compliant, and as competitive as possible (though I know I won't actually be competitive until I have it fully prepped, and develop my skills more.)

What offset limits are legal, and what offsets work best?

No offset limit in STX, wheels are free in diameter and offset, only the width is limited to 9". I am not sure which offset will be best for STX, but have seen many running 17x9" with 42mm offset.

Yep, after looking at it a bunch more, I discovered that. I believe that I am going with Rota DPR in 17X9X42.
