How perfect should tint reasonably be?
I got my tint done, (~$360, Ceramic all around, including 85% in the front). Just wondering what I can be reasonably disappointed with.
There seems to be some specks of dust in a few panels a hair about a 1/4 inch long in the front, etc. I was assuming it would be pretty much perfect at that price, right? |

I haven't noticed any specks of dust on my tint, paid $200 for my Suntek ceramic in pyuallup. Are you actively trying to look for dust or are these imperfections noticeable during normal activity?

I went over it after I saw the hair. They aren't really really noticeable. But if you look at the tint (within about 3 feet) you see a handful of specks here and there.

im with everybody, re do it if you are paying that much. i have a tiny spec of a bubble on my rear window. annoys the crap out of me but its really not worth fixing. But in your case, there are several imperfections so it should be redone. If your installer gives you any lip, then contact the tint company that he uses.

Did you clean your car immaculately before you had it done? Word to the wise, it is best to vacuum and dust your interior prior to having your windows tinted. Although the installer should also do so, better off being safe than sorry.

My tint guy found some dust got under the tint and he ripped it all out and re-tinted the entire back window again.
He did it all on his own, he's a perfectionist and I like it! My tint is literally flawless. |

You paid for it. It needs to be perfect or expected results.
