CDT speakers
I've used them in the past with good results, but it's been a while. Are they still considered to be a good speaker? Has anyone tried them in an FR-S? I'm thinking in particular of the their 642 set that has a 6.7 inch bass driver, a 4 inch mid-bass and a tweeter.

I have the cl 642 set they r nice my amp right now isn't enough power to really hear what they can do. The onky think right now is the 4 inch speakers seen to be crossed to low on the passive cross over and distort at higher volume on some songs but once I get a new amp and go semi active I'll fix that plus it could be my amp also. But other than that they have killer mid bass way more than the jl 3way set I did in a friends frs. But the jl sound louder but they have a nice amp with matched power on them so hard to compare right now.

Interesting that the 4's seem to be crossed too low. Is that with the CDT crossover? CDT is known for their crossovers more than anything else so they should be pretty tight. Did you seal behind them?

Yeah Cdt ex30 cross overs and it's not sealed behind so could be that could also be my amp. If I turn my hp to 120 it's fine but then I lose all my lows to the 6.5s and got have subs yet so it's not good enough to not have lows at least a little. I'm gonna run the 6.5s separate then cross the mids and tweeters a little hight when I get a new amp

Adjust the midrange's eq at the crossover and mess with the tweeters also, I bet you will be able to increase the sound and reduce the distortion till you get your new amps!

I tired a few things the tweets are good at 0db if I reduce the mid it's way to quite. I even have the 6.5 playing full range and it helps a little bit but still need the mid at 0 not-3 but I just ordered my subs yesterday so ill be able to raise the cross over soon and be good :-D
