Agreed. The Stoptech Street pads are an amazing pad. They are made with a para-arimid compound which makes them a clean and quiet pad when paired with the performance they offer. They have a Maximum Operating Temperature (MOT) of 1300°F which I believe is the highest of any other Street Pad on the market right now. Price wise, they really cannot be beaten. I've seen a lot of people compare them to the HPS pads, but there really is no comparison. Stoptech did a test of the two pads on their brake dyno and found that the Street pads out performed the HPS pads by 25% from 0-700°F. After 700°F the HPS pads began to fade while the Stoptech pads continued to improve all the way to their MOT of 1300°F. They also work very well at cold start as we have many customers who run these pads in subzero climates.

However, if you plan on doing track days, Stoptech does recommend switching out to a dedicated track pad.

But even if you have a great brake setup, you still need good tires for them to be effective.

Is there any hard documentation on the MOT? I've never been able to find anything from their current set of marketing materials and I'd love to have that on hand for any clients that have questions. Thanks!

I'll send them an email and see if they can send me something. I'm sure the brake dyno produces some kind of print out. I have to shoot them an email anyway, I'll ask for that as well in the email. If I get anything, I'll shoot you a PM.

Any recommendation on front pads that will fit my wilwood kit:
http://www.wilwood.com/BrakePads/Bra...emno=150-8946K

I'm looking for a good street set with high-performance and also a dedicated track set (full race is fine).

I'm about to swap ferodo ds2500s in the rear.

Can you get me a caliper model please? I'm not specifically familiar with wilwood pad numbers.

Also, what compounds have you used in the past? What did you like and dislike about each?

Sorry I'm a little new to aftermarket brake options, here is the kit with details on the caliper:
http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/Bra...temno=140-9193

I ran their BP-10 pads that were provided. I got a little fade towards the end of my 4th session at a HPDE over the weekend, they also feel weaker than they did new now. I just want something with more bite and higher heat tolerance.

Thanks!

Not necessary to bleed them. Keep an eye on your reservoir though. If your old pads were worn, you could get fluid backup as you compress the pistons.
