2) That tC engine is making some nice numbers, it is (as far as I know) less complicated and an inline-4 has everything to do with Toyota and its car making history.

3) The FRS engine will probably be fine. Or it could be the weak link of the whole production. Either way, it just doesn't do much for me.

IF anything the xD is the irrelevant Scion model.

If it were me I'd just make 2 versions of xB, the current one (big) and one similar to the first xB (small) to take over the xD's role. (so there's an xB and an xLB)

Then it'd be back to a 4 car lineup:

xB, tC, iQ, FRS.

And if Scion wants to expand some more, give em a small jeep like the original FJ's, and/or a small truck like the old Tacomas.

I think they'd have all the niches covered

Hey, Toyota --->

On Topic: Why does the tC have to be irrelevant? I say: the more cars, the better.
The motor has the numbers but it just doesnt have a sporty feel to it. I guess you can call it 'lazy'. But then again Im comparing it to a high revving 2ZZ-GE (what's in my car) So im kind of biased. I wish i had that torque though, the 2zz-GE is a weakling down low.

Yeah, I remember the rumors of the small Scion pickup they wanted to do.

The FA20 sounds like it will be a much better sports car engine despite the lower torque figure. The AR 2.5L is a good engine, but it isn't inspiring or high revving. It is an undersquare engine which makes good torque, but they don't like to spin up quickly. That just doesn't scream sports car to me. It fits the tC pretty well because of the extra heft and not really trying to be a sports car. Plus, it is a pretty tall engine. I'm not certain it would fit under the hood. If we're putting an engine that tall in the FR-S, lets go ahead and put the 2GR-FSE in there.

You can be the first and only to swap the tC engine into the FRS.

I would say the split is like 80/20 in favor of males. The tC however I swear is 50/50 or even 40/60 in favor of women.

Hey tranz, did you happen to see this thread?

and the translation did with the conversation from K. Tsuchiya?

They expect women to be attracted to it.
