if it were me i'd go for the avo. more headroom for the future. with the s/c, what you have now is pretty much what you're left with.
Yea thats what sucks about it but heck if thats the only viable option to FI then I want it. I'm sure it will vastly improve performance over stock. I just gotta sell my right testicle. That might buy me the whole kit. Unless they do make a version of the FA20 turbo on future frs/brz. Then you can do a legal swap.

Right there with you. Born and raised here, effing hate it. Too bad the industry I'm in only seems to thrive in liberal meccas like california for some odd reason.

That is the basic issue right now. "Going legal" and "being legal" are two different things.

I'm from Cali and know quite a few FRS/BRZ contacts. One guy is showcasing the Innovate SC. Now, it doesn't have the bang of the AVO turbo or even the intercooled goodness and higher power of the Vortech SC, but the product is still being refined. Hearing 211whp is modest but with intercooler, SC and tune, capable of 250whp with no other upgrades. Kit starts around $3100 and for the cali CARB junkies the kit with tune is $3600 will be CARB legal (eventually). I think the best question to answer is what is your goal?
