Any chance you're filling up at the Shell on Northfield/Davenport?

i've noticed that some shell stations have stickers that says V-power contains 0% enthenol while some shell stations don't.
i find whenever i gas up at the shell at hwy7/Leslie i get faint chirp, but when i gas at 16th ave/mccowan i don't get chirp.

Same gas 94 petro, and I don't know if it is the revised pump or not, the techs were pretty much useless to be honest and the service people wouldn't let me even talk to anyone...

I went to several dealers in scarborough, richmond hill, etc. and they all said it was "direct injection" so I decided to call Subaru Canada and they asked where I bought the car from.. I told them Barrie Subaru and they said okay we will call you back. They called back after 10 minutes or so and said call Barrie Subaru and tell them we told you to call, and so I did. Barrie Subaru said to bring it down and they'll check it out.. Went back the next day and they said that the fuel pump was on order and it should arrive within 10-25 days due to back order and they will call me when it arrives

According to the TSB, my manufacture date and VIN is after they implemented the revised pump which solves this issue. Something about revised internal design that does not cause aeration of fuels, especially those with ethanol.

I wouldn't get your hopes up too much, if you read reports of people in the US a good majority of the people still have a chirp even after a pump replacement and running 0% ethanol gas.

Thankfully I've never had the chirp. I almost always fill up at Esso which "may" contain up to 10% ethanol. I wonder why some get it and some don't...

Mine goes in for new pump week after next. Mine has had the chirp for a long time though it doesn't bother me much. I had the part ordered back in May just haven't had the time to get it installed. 12,000kms or so now, and I fill up mostly with petro can, though sometimes shell or husky.
