Whats funny is we barely have a back seat to worry about....and as a former CRX guy we all wanted the JDM backseat...and here you guys are trying to remove it...now to save weight for tracking it is one thing but like some have said it will change your class entirely adding a crossbrace and removing the seat.

i posted about them needing a car in the NC area forum a while back but nobody seemed interested. they were looking for a car and were willing to give that car's owner a free delete kit in return.

yea i called them like 3 months ago... no one called me back so im making my own....
did anyone check the pics of their kits? they didnt look so impressive to me. some of them were kinda ugly..... the only benefit i see is that they use abs plastic and its lighter than fiberglass. but im not worried about ~10lbs. im putting a 10in sub on the passenger side & an amp and lock box on the driver side. in total the 2 sides will prob weigh ~35lbs loaded with one 10in sub and amp installed. im hoping less weight but i dont care if i add a little bit of weight to the ass of the car... i already lost 15lbs off the exhaust plus i dumped the spare tire and the rest of the junk in the trunk. so i will be lighter than stock anyway. also, it cant hurt to add weight to the rear. you want more weight in the back. i think this car is 54/46 front to back so if anything taking weight out the back is not soo good for handling. im only 168lbs anyway. and i need some bass. |

Just got an email back from Steve Shradar, and the offer is still open for someone to loan them a car for 3-4 days, in exchange for a free kit. Not sure I can be without the car for that long, plus I'd like to see a similar kit before hand.

I'll give them a call tomorrow but I'd only be interested if there was some kind of cross brace in addition to the cover. Honestly, what's 16lbs in the big picture? I'm not gonna strip the car to the bones but a nice looking set up like the pic in the OP's first post would look gorgeous and it would be worth the drive and transportation issues to get home and back to pick her up.

If the "seat" area of the delete kit made a good package tray, I'd be interested. Right now stuff has to go in the buckets of the back seats.

i might put a cargo tray along with the sub.
there will be empty space on the surface without it so adding it will fill the awkward gap/empty space..... i did this really quick in mspaint. the tray will be slanted following the line of the front of the box. so not exactly as pictured but u get the idea. |

They call it a "Privacy Cover" (unless I'm reading it wrong) and looking at the pics I'm not sure it would work real well after a back seat delete, it seems like it velcros to the bottom/front of the back seats or something. I think it's more intended to hide stuff in your back seat from prying eyes, though maybe it could be made to work.
