It'll depend on how much power it makes over other headers....

Take into account it's also a 3' not a 2.5 like everything else, so it's not a true apples to apples comparison.

The exhaust the header was tested on was a full 3" exhaust, not 2.5.

3" from the Overpipe to the Axleback.

somehow i doubt you'll see much more power going from 2.5" to 3" exhaust....it's not a bottle neck on stock turbo subaru's much less naturally aspirated ones.

There won't be a difference in power, but there will be a difference in volume for sure. I'm going 3" so I can just replace the header if I decide to go UEL for a bit before going turbo later down the road. That way I don't have to toss out my exhaust and if I end up going high horsepower on a turbo build, I've got the size for it.

Most probably won't like the volume, but I'll probably be able to handle it.

They tested both and posted plots of both... LT3Y Header + Full 3" and LT3Y Header with 2.5 front / over + Stock mid pipe + nameless axle back. 2.5 lost out a little bit down low and midrange, but not much.

So as you would expect smaller exhaust made less power, but only really seems to have dropped below 4500 for the most part.

Please keep in mind this is just the prelimn. I have mountains of data to go through and figure out why it is what it is.
