Yeah, but you know what, the Borla is apparently doing the right numbers on the dyno. Who cares if the inside of the collector is are pretty as peach?

So far JDL have produced not much.. a customer has put up a graph comparing a stock/gasoline car to a modified e85 car, which just so happened to have a JDL UEL header fitted.

So as it stands, on a proven results level, the Borla is ahead. I hope that changes soon, especially with the amount of cash i've got tied up with JDL!

Here's a photo of the collector on my Borla UEL header. It's from the first batch (shipped out last March)

Is the borla really cheaper than the others? When I priced them it seemed like they were all in the 600-900 range, borla being closer to 900 iirc.

newest production run of headers
Flanges are flat enough for me, and the collector looks fine to me. No crazy differences in tube diameter like the previous pictures, its not a 1000 dollar header, its exactly what its supposed to be.... a 5-600 dollar UEL

That's the newest 'fixed' version? That's terrible. It looks like they literally hammered it together. Everyone saying its 'only $600' bear in mind that revworks header is $99 more and agency power's is the exact same price. The quality is inexcusable for such a 'big name' company, or anyone else for that matter. The 'it's crap because I paid for crap' argument doesn't excuse it.

If it holds together and makes good power does anyone really give a damn what the collector welds look like? Clearly Borla stands behind their products and the dyno numbers are there.

I think some of us are being a bit pedantic about shit that doesn't really matter.

Better yet, post pictures of the Borla header after a few years or so. I question the longevity of it and I would venture a guess that rust isn't covered in the warranty, only defects.

I must be the only person OK with the welds in the collector merge... yes, it doesn't have a spike... but it looks like its at least pinched and doesn't just use a star weld insert.

Its a workable header that shows proven dyno gains

The Borla UEL headers is my best expense so far on my car for the monney involved.
600$ is a very decent price and dont have any torque dip anymore at low RPM.

The sound our car produce with the Borla UEL headers make my radio system totally useless now.

Even if the welds or the collector are not perfect, the header still do what it is suppose to like all the other headers more expensive.
