Decent pics of Borla UEL header / collector?

Anyone got decent photos of the Borla UEL collector? I've seen the JDL vs Borla one but i'd like to see if that's consistently the quality.

:thanks:

I should be getting my third replacement borla header by the end of the week, I will take pictures of both my old and new (newest production run with updated tooling was 6-7-2013)

Why are you to a third replacement ?

First production run had warped flange.

What was wrong with the second replacement ?

Warped flange, and someone with a grinder removed too much material where the gasket seals.....

Still doesn't change the fact it's a cheap piece of junk.

JDL and Rev Works will make thousands of headers and none will look like this unless the welder has his eyes closed or a 5 year old creates the collector with the cutter.

You guys seem to forget that I personally went through THREE different Borla UEL headers with warped flanges and sketchy looking collectors via warranty replacement before giving up and getting a refund. I was patient and gave them another chance like many others here. I wasn't as lucky as some and I had to draw the line after three failures on Borla's behalf to deliver me a defect-free product.

The latter two of the three were confirmed by Chris Bass @ Borla to be from the "new batch" with "improved tooling", yet they still had warped flanges and were likely not even pulled out of the boxes to be checked with a straight edge which took me all of 60 seconds to do myself upon their arrival. Three strikes; Borla's out. Their lack of quality control is inexcusable. The customer service was great, however.

Here we go. Yes you get what you pay for, but that header was probably returned and scrapped. My header looked nothing like that. I'm not going to pay a premium for a pretty collector. I didn't pay $250 for a test pipe when my $100 ebay special works just fine.

I don't think it's aesthetics that people are concerned with.

When your Ebay special rusts a year or two down the road or gives you problems/leaks you'll wish you would have put more money into the quality portion of your aftermarket parts.

Ebay specials are exactly who they are for, special people.

Just my 2 cents, if they are working out for you and they continue to, more power to you. It's just an opinion.
