You could always get a 3-5mm spacer for the fronts. Then down the road, get coilovers and swap the spacer to the rear to bring the rears closer to flush (or just sell the spacers).

Easy and cheap interim solution.

A 5mm spacer would get me 8mm of clearance, but I think I'm going to go with coilovers. Now I see why others have gone with the 35et with more poke
If they're only your track wheels, why does 10mm of poke matter??

ive got the exact same wheel/ tire setup and im not rubbing at all. im dropped an inch on eibachs too. i am getting fortune coil overs but its mainly because i want to go lower. like i posted in my thread, the only issue im having now is that at full wheel lock, the rim hits the tie-rod. but thats it

I think 3-5mm of spacers is the best solution for your track day.

Thats what I was thinking so I already put in an order on some coilovers. I wanted to be systematic and do small incremental upgrades so I can see how the car behaves but looks like thats out the door.

Thanks for everyone's advice.

Coils is a better way to go anyway, you'd put drop springs on stock struts and ware those out quickly then in a year when you get new struts you'd wish you'd just put that money into coils in the first place. Made that mistake on other cars before.

It's the quality of damper (weather is a coil or stock style strut) that impacts the ride/handling more than the springs or anything. Putting drop springs on stock struts was not likely to change the handing hardly at all unless the rates are different than stock.

I have cured this (under normal driving conditions) with an alignment. Slight negative toe and also by adjusting the camber at the strut rather than the camber top gives enough room to not hit. Mine is lowered 20mm. The lower you go the more it hits. I'm sure it could rub in some situations but will be using the OEM wheels now for any track activities so I'm happy now..

only time you should rub is under full lock steer and suspension under compression, I personally don't see you full lock at a track event or Autox. I have had 0 rubbing on my RPF1's and I run 255/40/17(must have coilovers to run this size) Hankook RS3's on 17x9 et45. as mentioned previously I am running as much camber as possible just by the lowering and factory bolts which I believe yields -1.5. good luck with Future mods

I'm putting 17x9 +32 offset wheels with 245/40/17 tires on tomorrow. I have Eibach sportlines and whiteline camber bolts. I REALLY hope I don't rub but if I do should I get spacers too? Also, should I wait to get it aligned after I put the wheels on or before?

32 offset you will be fine with that setup. only the 45 offset puts you close to the strut. a lot of people run 35 offset no issues.

Get the alignment after you get the wheels on. The shop should align with the new offset of wheels.

I have Sportlines and same camber bolts. I also have WL top hats and they aligned my fronts to -1.9 (bolts and hats = up -3). Great bite and corner handling. But just the camber bolts only go to -1.5 so try that first and see how you like it.
