There was a small break in the line on the left and a guy cut across without stopping to check if cars (me) was coming down the other lane and hit me at about 10mph.

I then proceeded to swear at the top of my lungs (still inside the car) and hold back from smacking the guy once we exchanged our info.

Hopefully you understand what i'm talking about, it's hard to explain what happened without a diagram.

Our insurance company put him completely at fault so I don't have to pay anything besides my tears and time going through the process of having it appraised and then fixing it......

This ALMOST happened to me the other day. Luckily I saw him the whole time and swerved onto the shoulder and sped around him. Sorry you got hit.

Looks more like a side swipe.

You said Insurance put him at fault and is covering everything. So why sweat it.

It's because i was traveling at speed.... he hit me while i was moving. I'm sweating it because I have to go through the process going through the insurance company, bringing it to the shop, have them assess the damage, order parts(who knows how long it will take to get the parts), then bring it back to the shop when the parts come in and have it repaired. I could be without my car for the whole summer... that's why..

Yeah it was just a bad situation and a bad driver. I just had a fat curb to the right so there was nowhere to go. I wish there was a shoulder.

Bad luck about the accident, I am happy you are okay.
I'm a really defensive driver it was just a bad situation and a bad driver. I had a curb to the right of me and had nowhere to go. Looking back there was really nothing I could do besides taking a different road lol... Thanks for the input though.

i feel bad for ya man but dont sweat it too much i slammed into a guard rail completely messing up the passenger side of my car, didnt break any windows but popped both passenger curtain and seat airbags and badly damaged the suspension of both passenger front and rear wheels due to a curb that was hidden under dirt. ive only been out without my car for 3 and a half weeks and that was to include ordering parts, and them having to disassemble the car a 2nd time due to paint not matching, im getting my car back this wed or thursday so dont worry you shouldn't go very long without your car especially with the minimal damage. the process is not as much of a pain as you would think but also depends on the insurance and shop they have you do the repairs at. So keep your head up you will be fine and back on the road in no time

Just an update for whoever is interested. Body shop has stripped the car and the total damage is $9,168. They are replacing the rear quarter panel completely. It is welded in a few spots and it is structural..... Apparently they worked on 4 FR-S' that fell off of a truck and had similar damage. Hopefully it's like new after the repair...............................

Right now i'm stuck driving a rental Hyundai Sonata (happens to be the same model of car that hit me...) and miss my baby so much....
