That's why I do my oil changes. They cant deny you the warranty because you don't take your car there for oil changes..that's stupid. Theres always incompetent people at the dealers.

Most of the engines in the market will be trashed if timing belt broke, show me a cheap car with an engine that wont be trashed with a broken timing belt. Yeah #2 makes no sense to you ? Let me spell it out for you. Excessive coolant...or gas or oil build excessive carbon in the chamber which will damage the engine performance in time. Excessive air will cause lean burn of the mixture which result in overheating the engine, and melt down, burn a whole, whatever Excessive air will also cause detonation on which the compressed air reach the maximum designed ignition temperature point in the chamber and cause the air and gas mixture to explode. If you want to learn more. Please buy a book, take a class. I am not your teacher, and i dont earn money here. |

2/ i speak for majority of common engines. 3/ there are much more if you get in-depth. I was only talking to Op under his specific condition, and an example of his particular car of what could have damaged the engine. 4/ you are welcome to give any example on any particular car about the non interference engine. |

#1 was wrong and #2 is just mindless dribble.. learn something first before you try and enlighten others. "2/ Excessive Input toward the Combustion Chamber (Too much Air, Gas, Spark, Coolant, Oil) Usually These are seen in Bad or Old Engine, or Forced Induction engine with a good Tune." |
