Brake Fluid Flush
I just picked up a set of SS brake lines and Motul 600 brake fluid. I've been searching for a walk through on how exactly I would go about doing this and most of the DIY's for brake flushes typically factor in exchanging dirty old fluid for new clean fluid. My car has 2,700km on it, so I'm pretty sure the fluid will be the same color. I've also read that running the reservoir dry is a bad idea, but I'm not sure how else to be certain new fluid is in the lines? Any suggestions other than what I have listed below?
Also, here is a quick point form on how I was planning on doing it. I would appreciate if anyone could correct any potential mistakes (will be using a hand held vacuum bleeder) -Suction the fluid reservoir dry and fill with new fluid -Order of operation: RR, RL, FR, FL -At each corner, replace brake line then vacuum bleed the fluid -For the bleed/flushing process, I plan to drain about 350ml from the first corner, then 300ml from the second, 250ml at the third, etc. I'll be making sure that the reservoir is above the minimum line at all times I figure that should be fine, but I've never done it before and just wanted to get some input. Thanks
