Right now it looks like you're in SM. Side skirts in any form are not permitted in Street Prepared but there is a provision for splitters. Your canards I'm unsure of but they are permitted in SM. Don't have time to look it all up for you but if you're trying to get down to STX you definitely have some work to do. Fortunately for you the removal (and addition) of badges is permitted in ST__ classes because I know that's the hardest part to change.

Also your JDM corner lights must be reasonably within the same weight of the lights they replaced.

Can one swap badges in CS? I haven't swapped mine yet, but was planning to at some point. Don't see anything in the rules about it.

it'd be a weenie protest, and wouldn't happen at a local. But, IIDSYCTYC is the official rule.

My advice to you:

Since it sounds like you are just getting started autocrossing, I think you should just run in SM with your car the way it is because it's not like you'll be competitive anyway. Compare your times to the STX guys and once your times are competitive for the class, then think about prepping for it.

Or just light your wallet on fire and join us in SM. we have cookies, horsepower and purple crack(hoosiers). but yeah avoid good tires until you learn on crap tires. good tires hide mistakes.

The person sweating you for a badge, even at a national event, is a ****.

Well if someone debadged their car and took first by 1/1000th would you protest them for the extra 3 ounces of weight savings they got from it? It's a difference of almost $1,500 in contingency money between 1st and 2nd since Scion/TRD only pay out for first place. Why risk it?

Sure if you're going to go and be 50th/80 then whatever, I really doubt 51st-80th are going to protest you. But you go in knowing that you can be.

3oz of cosmetic shit isn't doing anything for your time.

It will always be a weenie protest.

edit: Since you want to get super duper anal retentive on the rules, the book says "Accessories, gauges, indicators, lights and other appearance, comfort and convenience modifications which have no effect on performance and/or handling and do not materially reduce the weight of the car are permitted."

Materially = substantially, and a badge doesn't constitute any sort of substantial weight.

Debadging would be an easy argument to make.

Maybe somewhere else's it's explicitly prohibited, but I still think a protest for a badge as 1000% weenie protest and the filer of said protest is still a ****.
