The dealership I purchased from said that ALL new subaru's get 2 years/24000 miles of oil changes which they said averages 2/year. That's just what my dealership says...thought it was standard across the board...but maybe not....
This dealership also said I should get the first change at 3750 miles...Anybody else hear about that? |

Subaru dealers in the Sunbelt region definitely offer the complementary 2/24 scheduled maintenance. It does require the sales/finance departments to set it up properly, so you may want to inquire at your dealer. As someone above said, if your dealer doesn't know or is unhelpful, call the SOA customer relations department and ask them about it.

My local dealer suggested I follow the service schedule published by Subaru (starting at 7500) but said if I wanted to do it earlier, 3000 would be fine. They actually suggested I don't do it too soon. I ended up doing mine yesterday at 3600. First time I did an oil change with 0W20 oil. damn I was not ready for how fast that stuff drains. Stuff ended up all over the place as my drain pan's funnel filled up faster than the air could escape the container! At least now I have a Fumoto valve with the hose extension. Next one should be much more manageable. |
