My advice--printout the instructions, and semi-memorize them. Then do your best limbo dance and get under there with a flashlight. You should hopefully know which one is your clutch pedal, so press on it. Trace the motion of the pedal, and you will find the rod that goes through the firewall to the clutch cylinder. The part you want to adjust is where that rod screws into the U-shaped frame. It really is that simple, just sounds more difficult than it is. Good luck! |

There are two nuts on either side of the bracket that holds that pressure sensor. Loosen the one that is closer to the firewall, which should make it easier to move the one on the other side. Adjust until the sensor is even, then re-tighten.

After setting the clutch level my previous concern about my rough shifting has been removed. It makes the shift soooo much smoother after adjusting the clutch.
I have not gotten the second part to adjust the sensor yet, but the clutch feels really loose, like if I just tap the clutch it moves around alot. I wondering if thats normal? and will that stiffen up after I complete part 2 of adjusting the sensor? |

Great write up!
I have a simple question though, do we want the sensor to protrude a bit? Mine is protruding a bit, maybe 1-2mm. |

Though it seems most people who adjust clutch pedal height to about even with the brake, do not need to adjust the cruise switch.

Adjusting the position of the clutch pedal is a nice trick, but what would really impress me is if someone could figure out a way to make the clutch engage a little more gradually and less abruptly at the end of the pedal movement. When I drove one, it felt like most of the travel was just wasted movement, that all it needed was to be pressed an inch or two. That last second grab is a pain in the mcnuggets. It could (and should) be a lot smoother.
