The bad thing about a turbo is you have to wait for your boost. Like I said, just get the Vortech Supercharger and you won't be sorry. It's the best investment you can make on your FR-S.

Guys again, I wasn't racing, my job is too important to lose it over racing a douche, he just punched it and I was completely appalled. I bought the car for the looks, cost and economy. Sue me if I want more power, I'm a man. If I wanted to drive around in a nice looking car with no power I'd of gotten a sedan. If you have nothing positive to say, go to another thread.
To those with good recommendations. I appreciate it and will use your advice. |

Please explain how you're at full boost 24/7 when all the vortech graphs show linear boost increase throughout the rpm range, and only seeing "full" boost by redline.

Amen. Can you run a low 12 in the quarter? There's someone who can run a high 11. Run a high 11? There's someone else who can run a low 11. Run a low 11... It never ends...;-)

IMO This is what I would do in this order if you want more low in power. Intake is a waste imo unless you are getting a CAI. I would just get a nice drop in filter for the stock box. Get an exhaust after you get your headers.
1: Tune 91/93 or E85 if you have access. 2: Headers(if your state allows it) These 2 items installed and tuned correctly will transform the car. |

I don't get it...
(taken from http://www.zeroto60times.com/) 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT 0-60 mph 7.6 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T 0-60 mph 7.8 2013 Dodge Caravan 0-60 7.2 2013 Scion FR-S (Manual) 0-60 mph 6.2 Honestly I think people put down this car's acceleration times a little much. It does very good for an n/a 4 cylinder. Yea its not a stop light drag queen but if you wanted that you should slap yourself for buying this car. I like to look at classic muscle cars as a good example of quickness. Yea they're not the fastest by today's standards, but I'm a huge muscle car fan and it shows how much technology has advanced in 40 or so years that a 4 cylinder sports coupe is faster than an old v8 and much better fuel economy & emissions: (Disclaimer: I'm not saying the twins are better than any of these cars. Its personally one of my dreams to own a classic muscle car, ideally a big block of course )1964 Ford Mustang (V8) 0-60 mph 7.3 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS 0-60 mph 7.9 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A 0-60 mph 7.0 Of course anything with a big block, or any modern v8 will smoke the twins. I guess the summary for my post is OP: learn to downshift. Just don't get discouraged when a mazda 3 or focus st smokes you at a stoplight. This isn't a drag racer! |

Plus, many FWD econoboxes out-accelerate us as well. Everything from sporty hatches to mid-sized sedans, minivans, and pickups. It's just not very quick in today's world. All that being said, I still wouldn't trade this for anything else currently on the market. The only things I would buy over this cost significantly more.
