Embarrassment! Need more low end HP!
I was on a back highway road today and came up on an old Grand Prix going 45 in a 55. We approached a stopped light, so casually got in the left lane to go around this person who didn't observe the speed limit. The car was dilapidated and this douche saw my car and took the opportunity to floor it and try to give me a run for my money, needless to say, I wasn't prepared and his POS stayed half a car length in front of me the whole 100 yards until the lane ended. I was frustrated!!!!!!! Why would you drive like a grandma to then try and prove a point, just the price you pay to drive such a nice car........
Anyway, we all need more low end power to put a stop to these stop light revs and sudden speed racers. I've only added a unichip to my car, but needless to say after tonight, I'm seriously looking at some upgrades to put a quick end to this, or an eventual end. What have you guys done to get increases in torque and whp? |
you mean torque? oh.. god.. another one of these stories

I get smoked by minivans and shit, not a big deal.

Wasn't street racing just trying to pass and the guy had to prove a point that left the frs looking like 💩!
This car needs more power and as beautiful as it is and as sporty as looks someone has to take a stand and get off the line fast enough to pass these jerks. I was thinking of getting a Perrin pulley, flywheel, CF crankshaft, and Injen short ram to get some extra pep, but was wondering if any of you had opinions or experiences on better upgrades to get more torque/whp freed up? :burnrubber: |

Our cars are not that fast. They never will be without lots of parts and money. They are, however, some of the most fun you can have while still getting 25-30mpg in a car that looks like it costs twice as much.

I don't care what you're driving, sooner or later you'll come up to something that will smoke you in a straight line 100 yd. sprint. It could've been worse, like a worked Dodge Cummins pickup that would literally smoke you.

and stop racing on the straightways that just gives the rest of FRS owners a bad name. |
Get an e85 tune, delete the exhaust, put on a perrin cold air intake and lighten up the rotational masses. That'll pull like hell and will sound GREAT
