![]() They're talking like it's going to mutate this car into a 1976 firebird (my first car lol) by adding more power to it. BS. It already has a good diff in the rear, a good f/r weight ratio in which you can just move the battery to the rear if you're that nuts about it to help offset a little of the weight. The car will be more exciting, playing with the throttle is going to give you more tailout fun or pull you much harder out of those turns. We know it, Toyota knows it, they're just trying to save face at the moment. |

I don't think the SC would weigh 100lb by itself either, but as Sparkie mentioned, the intercooler would add some weight, plus if there is a factory optioned SC model, it will not be as simple as adding the SC. Guaranteed it comes packaged with other goodies that will also add weight (larger rims, bigger brakes, air dam, side sills, etc).

With how much a carbon fiber hood would cost, you'd see better performance gains from low-weight alloy wheels. |

There is a 170-horsepower Lotus Elise in the States?

While i do want to keep my FRS n/a i think it would be fun after a while to add a supercharger. Don't want loads of power but then again id have to see after long term ownership.

Keep the cooling without all the piping... They run about 4 grand from trd but you get a warrantee with it as well, usually plug in, new serpentine belt, reset ecu, and you drive away, no tuning shops, if it breaks or the engine does, Toyota replaces it all under warrantee.... Great buy IMO |

It's been posted several places. A quick google search provided me with several results. Here's one from Car and Driver. It appears the hood is aluminum on both cars actually.

Im curious about this as well. I want to autox, road course, and DD and was thinking about staying away from FI since it might kill the DD part of it. Hopefully there will be a FI section when it comes out to determine which is best for that set of uses.

I can say for an absolute fact that an Eaton M24 weighs 11.5 lbs. It might be a little small for our purposes though.

To those talking about turbo lag, with modern designs and smaller turbos it's not the issue it used to be. My 07 wrx has pretty much instant power all the time, and it's ony got 224hp. |
