Mass market appeal is what creates thriving aftermarket support for the car. And it's what will help other automakers to come out with their own RWD cars, like Nissan who wrongly thought consumers no longer cared for RWD coupes (and ditching the Silvia).

There was clearly a certain amount of sarcasm there... I suppose to enough. I do hope we don't turn out like the civics though... no sarcasm needed in that one.

Not me. The more they sell equals more aftermarket support, factory accessories, updates, and improvements. The FRS/BRZ will never be as common as a Stang or Civic, so embrace the sales!

Wait what's fast and the furious?

Haha just kidding-a side from the first one tho, anyone I know who mentions that movie to me irl I just shake my head.
-where I live you can't throw a rock without hitting a Mustang lol so as long as it's not that bad I see no reason to really be upset over it.

Nah, that's easy! Buy the very worst car available for 25k - nobody else will buy one, and you can be special!

Psht. Enjoy the exclusivity while it lasts. All of us reading this are some of the first to get these cars. We have over a year of driving practice before this movie comes out and people who don't know what they're doing flood the dealers. We'll be better wheel men than them, though Just take them to the auto-x or road course and show off your furious fastness.

I like that there will be many of them. Honda's already talking about bring back the S2000 and Toyota wants another Supra. None of that would be happening if this thing were rare (unpopular). Hell, Mazda may even do something interesting with the miata for the first time since 2005. All their little club racer editions make me think another mazdaspeed may be coming. And it's about time, too.

The only thing I would hate to see is seeing a riced out Scion Frs with a driver acting like it has 500hp trying to take on every single car in the street...
Eh, the GTR and the EVO are still cool cars after those stupid movies. Who cares? The car we have is an awesome machine. If they sell more, that's great. Look at the mustang aftermarket and tell me you wouldn't want that kind of support. You should make your own car unique anyway.

It's hard to keep a car rare at this price point and great design. Hopefully they keep up the standards of the car not and not go to crap since it will be even more mass producded. But, Scion has been doing this for awhile and they seem to have the stuff together.

Wishing for this car to be rare is wishing for Toyota/Subaru to fail. Ain't gonna happen!
