For me it doesnt matter if im standing still or driving the noise still appears.

I think we should post this else where as mentioned seeing that its not tune related, I sent John the log and maybe he could take a look at what's going on and see if the tune has something to do or not. To clarify I don't go around smashing the throttle without load on the vehicle, i was just trying to replicate the noises heard when rev matching for a downshift. Ill do a second and third gear pull and see if I get knock. Maybe this is the beginning of a soon to come cel .

I went ahead and did some 2-4th gear pulls and if im looking at the correct title, there's some knock. I'll leave it up to John.

PS- John i will upload the logs on to my ticket.

Depends which one you are looking at because there is knock learning (which is usually positive) and knock correction (negative when problems occur) confirm which one you are looking at.

Also I would love to know the actual strategy used if someone could post that.

I get both, i get knock learning up to 5 counts and knock correction on my second gear pull i get starting at 2300rpm -1.4 knock corr and increased up to -2.1 by 2700rpm's then went to 0. The other logs i get up to 5 knock learn and no knock corr. I'm perplexed here, i could be looking at the wrong thing but something sounds bad and its tune sensitive for me. I just flashed back the latest racerom tune and the knocking noise was there instantly, loud and clear when sharply pressing on the accel pedal, mostly NOT under load(free reving, on acceleration between shifts before clutch engages).

i was going to post something but because i dont know the whole stategy yet it dont want to post mis information. I will let visconti chime in.

To my knowledge knock learning in the positive is fine, if knock correction(negetive) is present a small amount of timing will be taken away from the knock learning column which will in turn reduce the total iginition timing used.

What you are describing soundwise does not sound like pre detonation(knock) but rather something mechanical.

Pre detonation or knock correction typically cant be heard unless it is quite bad and even then it would happen under load, not free reving.

I have a ever growing list of logs to review..

I'll get to it soon enough, any positive knock correction is OK.

Every tune will have knock from time to time - this is why the ECU has such a advanced Knock Control system

-John

Can I get a little more feedback on the RaceRom Traction control?

It it too sensitive?

-John

Disregard - RR TC is not available until v1.08b3 (Pump Gas)

You guys need to look at the release notes on the support console and cross reference it to the tune you currently have.
P.S. from the release notes, it looks like the TC started sometime around v1.08b1 or v1.08b2

I have v1.08b1 and have been testing it out in slick conditions with factory nannies off, I don't seem to notice any type of traction control kicking in.

Edit: looks like RaceROM TC isn't available until v1.08b3 (Pump is different than Corn, that's what confused me)

Disregard
