Here is a picture of the switch. Hopefully I get around to swapping mine out soon.

I can see the switch onto of the transmission, how do you reach it without dropping the transmission?

I got an inspection at Speedy oil change, they told me it won’t psss inspection because of the backup reverse light not working quoted me $80 to replace it then later said it would require taking off the muffler to get to it and said it would be $400-$500. I declined and bought the part at Toyota for $40 and went a Mexican repair shop he did it for $100. I even tried to get an estimate at Toyota and told them the problem and ask how much, agent said it would be $185 diagnostic fee when I already showed him the problem. If I had a lift I would’ve done it myself, you can access it underneath on the passenger side.
