Curious. I might get one. This is because I do my own oil changes too. It'll be easier....

hardly sticks out just like gramicci, you'd have to drive over something that would scrape the entire underside to hit it. as it stands the resonator on my front pipe hangs much lower and i barely hit it.
i'm on RCE yellows so just under an inch drop. best thing you can get to make oil changes as easy as they can get.

I remember reading on the forester forum (traded one for brz) that subaru did not recommend this. Something about the flow being to slow and not being able to remove sludge or wherever from the engine... Who knows... I have been changing my own oil for 40+ years! drain plugs work for me.

I have one with the short nipple, s version I believe.
I just jack the car up, take my 3 gallon used oil container, slip a 6 inch hose on the drain valve and dump directly into the container. Come out 30 minutes and refill.

You guys with the valve is it possible to change the oil without jacking up the car? Like how hard is it to turn the valve, I'm pretty thin and can reach the oil pan without lifting my car. I'm considering this if I can knock out one more step in changing my oil.

Actually turning the valve is easy. Fitting a drain pan and my arm under the car is less easy.
