Of course we will, it's part of human nature. I get the "mid-life crisis car" thing all the time from friends and relatives even though they all know I've always owned some type of performance car and this is not different than anything else I've had in my stable at one point or another.

It's all done with love....well mostly.

Ya, I don't even bother to respond to the "mid life crisis" comments anymore. I also have almost always had some sort of performance/showy/unusual car and they all know it. I think it is just the styling that does it.
I am also gonna lose it on the next person that says to me "I am surprised you can get in and out of it". Sure I am no youngster but I am better shape than many my age so it isn't difficult in the least!

I get that too, and that's when I tell them it's part of my "get fit" plan, and then demonstrate getting in and out without using my hands.

What and all agree most of the time!? Where is the fun in that.

On a related note we should start a pool on how long this thread derailment lasts before everybody starts bickering again!
I say 8 more posts.

Or a certain 'stang rider posts in the wrong forum to trash the forum's specific vehicle again.

Garage
50 yrs old here. First car I ever bought was fuel injected (85 GTI).Jacked up muscle cars not my style.

Tcoat drove old cars, even for his time. His age was more in the Smokey and the bandit screaming golden eagle GinoTrans Am era.

Gino Vanelli does Greypower commercials now Lol.

Back on topic, sales will slow as many people who desire the vehicle will already have bought it. If economics allows for a next generation, it will hopefully motivate those people to trade up. It will also allow the designers to address what was missing that would have appealed to more buyers if they properly analyze consumer feedback. I think Scion should offer 2 spec levels like Subaru did but that might not sit well with Subaru. Maybe Subaru can launch a model with some sort of power enhancement, but not more than maybe 225 HP, perhaps an FA25.

I should have started with that & ended with that, because that really was 95% of the problem with the car FOR ME (and I suspect strongly other past, current & potential owners who feel like I do after driving it).

Actually he has redeemed himself a little.
At least reigned it in a bit!
